Nicholas R. Cox, DDS

DSC_4369Dr. Nicholas Cox acquired Cox Family Dentistry in April of 2016 with the vision of providing quality oral health care to the North Dallas area. He enjoys discussing how he can make your smile healthy and beautiful! Dr. Cox keeps up to date with the most advanced technology and techniques with continuing education classes as a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and local branches of the Dental Society.

Dr. Cox grew up just down the road in Colleyville, where he found his love of baseball, dentistry, and North Texas. He graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School where he was an all-district baseball player during his tenure. His parents still reside in Colleyville, close enough to foster his strong family ties! Dr. Cox has one brother who attends Texas A&M University and one sister who teaches 3rd grade in Keller, TX.

Dr. Cox attended Southwestern University where he received a B.S. in Chemistry. Dr. Cox played NCAA baseball for all four years as a Pirate, playing as a relief pitcher. He was also a member of a fraternity and was published after four years of research in Physical Chemistry.

Dr. Cox then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio School of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Cox was honored by the Comprehensive Dentistry Department for outstanding performance in patient care, management and productivity, graduating at the top of his class. He has additional education in implant placement, Invisalign treatment, sedation dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. After graduating, Nick worked in private practice in San Antonio, gaining more experience and education before moving to Plano.DSC_4399

Dr. Cox and his wife, Dr. Allie Cox, love making their home in Plano where they live with their Blue Heeler puppy, Penny!  Allie and Nick are avid Baylor Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fans! Nick also enjoys hunting, outdoors activities and keeping up with the Rangers, Mavs and Stars!

Cindy, Office Manager

11053440_1332741020084665_3071980054832227037_oCindy has almost 30 years experience in the dental field.  She is an expert at providing exceptional patient care, helping you understand your insurance plan, and finding ways to make your dental care affordable for you.

She is a native Texan and has lived in the Dallas area since the 1970.  When not working, she is an avid swing and country western dancer and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

Doris, Hygienist

dorisDoris graduated from Wichita State University in Kansas with a license in dental hygiene. In the first 27 years of her career, she was in a family practice in Naperville, Illinois.

She and her husband, Doug moved to Plano in 2002, and she has worked in our practice for the last 14 years.  Our patients are the reason that she is in dental hygiene. She enjoys the every day practice of clinical hygiene and helping patients achieve their best, healthiest smiles!

She likes to focus on our patients’ needs, determine their relative risks, and help Dr. Cox and the staff family in developing a plan to assist patients so that they may keep their teeth for their entire lifetime.

Treating our patients is an opportunity for her to help them understand the effects that their oral health has on their total body health.

The relationships with our family of patients and staff makes her days challenging, amusing , joyous, and at times just plain fun and memorable.

Shelby, Hygienist

To better serve you, we’ve EXPANDED OUR SCHEDULE!  This has encropped-picabled us to provide double hygienist care on two days now.  Shelby is joining our team to help continue our long-time tradition of providing you the best hygienist care possible.  Shelby will be available for you on Tuesday and Wednesday every week.

Shelby grew up in the Coppell area and attended Texas A&M University in College Station. When not at our dental office, Shelby enjoys baking, outside activities, and participates in annual mission trips.  Her last trip was to Egypt where she provided free hygiene care for those in need.

Shelby is very happy to be joining our practice and looks forward to meeting our patients, like you!

Jennifer, Receptionist and Hygiene Coordinator

jenniferJennifer is a real people person and loves interacting with patients and co-workers every day.   Our patients say her smile brightens their day.  When you need to schedule your next teeth cleaning, call Jennifer!  She’ll find a date and time that will work perfectly with your calendar.

She is a Registered Dental Assistant receiving her RDA certificate from the Dallas Dental Assistant School.  Her knowledge of dentistry helps her provide exceptional care for our patients.

Jennifer grew up in Rowlett, Texas.  When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Martha, Registered Dental Assistant

Martha has been in dental field for over 25 years.  She is Dr. Cox’s right hand person.  She enmarthajoys helping people feel good about themselves and their beautiful healthy smiles.  We frequently hear compliments from our patients that she is a very gentle and caring person.  She’s very efficient and will help make sure your next dentist visit goes smoothly.

She and her husband, James, have 2 sons, Connor and Dylan.  The family loves to travel (especially camping and going to the beach) and watching their boys play sports.
